| Fried Wanton |
Fut Sai Kai is one of my favorite restaurants, located in Singapore, and they serve Chinese vegetarian food. They do use mock meats, but aren't too reliant on them, and one dish is an excellent example. The "egg" pouch is mainly comprised of mushrooms, asparagus, and carrots in sauce, with only a little tofu serving as the "egg". Of course, there are plenty of dishes like it, but some others are totally different like the wanton noodles. That is thin noodles in brown sauce with dumplings filled with mushrooms. The Lo Mei is made up of mock chicken and duck. There are soups, too, and two are the sweet corn soup and the shark's fin (mock) in corn broth. The fried wantons are heaven. But there are many more foods there I won't tell you about, because you have to visit it yourself!
